The splendid Villa of Medicea of Lilliano, situated in the hills of the Chianti at only a few kilometres from central Florence, is the ideal location for presenting ceremonies, business meetings and events that speak of elegance and appreciation for the significant wine and extra virgin olive oil production that is cultivated from the surrounding land.
It is the passion and the pulling force that allows the Malenchini family, the owners of the Villa for more than two centuries, to continue their paternal cultural and agricultural legacy.
Situated in the heart of the Florentine Chianti Hills, the Malenchini estate is run by Diletta Malenchini together with Stefano Porcinai, winemaker and agronomist.
Within the 70 hectares of property that surround the Villa of Lilliano,17 hectares are dedicated to vineyards and 42 hectares to olive groves. Both wine and olive oil are produced with careful attention to ecology, limiting the natural impact.
The types of grapes cultivated are Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The olive groves hold approximately 12000 trees, mostly of the Frantoio, Pendolino, Moraiolo and Leccino varieties. The olives are hand-harvested and are pressed using the cold extraction method within 24 hours of harvest.
