Velenosi Ercole's farm was established in 1984, thanks to the will of two young entrepreneurs, Angela and Ercole Velenosi.
They have been operating in the wine sector for just a couple of decades, but their passion has allowed them to rapidly learn and improve their growing and winemaking techniques, create a winery with state-of-the-art and advanced equipment and produce excellent wines.
In 2005 the company has strengthened its leading role in the Marche wine-producing industry after Paolo Garbini, a former businessman of the poultry-farming industry, joined the firm.
Attilio Pagli is our wine-making consultant.
Velenosi is also an italian distributor for the Champagne Lombarde & Cie, an esteemed french maison.

Wine is an art capable of making you dream. This is a statement we firmly believe in. Indeed, it is the very basis of our company's philosophy deriving from tradition, ancient techniques interpreted in a flexible and imaginativeway to produce the most fragrant glass of wine.
We have learnt a lot from wine.
The very management of our company draws inspiration from its positive values: limpidity, sincerity and a genuine passion for our work.
The time required for wine-making should lie neither too long, nor too short: just natural, to achieve the best results according to a genuine family tradition - as
we never miss the opportunity to stress - combined with the most advanced technology.
Quality, ongoing research to achieve the best result, the aspiration to the perfect balance between taste and colour, bouquet and aftertaste.
The wait for the magical moment when harvest can start, and then the slow birth and evolution of wine.
Thus, with transparence, naturalness and care, our company has been carrying out its activity for twenty years, with undiminished passion, and it is in this spirit that we address whomever shares our inclination, everyone looking for an old, but still important taste: the taste of purity in order to respect the nobility of this drink.
The company is based in Ascoli Piceno, a city rich in history in the Marche Region, in central Italy, 25 km away from the Adriatic sea at 150-200 metres above sea level.
The soil in the area is generally clayey and fertile.
In addition to the four farms located in the province of Ascoli Piceno, i.e. Castorano,
Monsampolo and Castel di Lama, the company also owns some vineyards in Ancarano, in the province of Teramo, and also in Marcelli (Jesi).
A new vine will be planted this year. Its features will reflect those of the original
vineyards, i.e. thickness of plants: 5,000-6,000 / hectare.
The 105-hectaer farm has been planted with many varieties such as: Trebbiano, Pecorino, Passerina, Verdicchio, Malvasia, Pinot Nero, Chardonnay, Muller Thurgau, Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Schiraz and Petit Verdot
